My partner and I are staying at a hotel nearby and I've been craving Mexican so I walked over to get us some food. I thought $30 seemed a little high for our order (carne asada quesadilla, 2 lengua tacos, 2 tripa tacos) but when I got back to the hotel room I realized that these are hefty portions so it seemed more reasonable. Then we started eating and now I can say it was 100% worth it. Not only are these the most loaded up traditional tacos I've ever seen, this is absolutely the best lengua I've had. The tripas is perfect too, everywhere else I've gone in Colorado it's been really soft but this is more crispy...
The tacos, quesadillas, tortas - this place is as solid as they come. Don't come for fancy, come for unbeleivably good food, abulita sized portions, and a kind staff. The kids, who rarely demand repeat, are requesing a third visit, for breakfast, which I don't even know they serve. The Carnitas are juicy but not faty, the adobado (thier pastor style with guac instead of pineapples)
We've been here several times and tried many of the menu items. Mexican food is one of my favorites and I never tire of it. This place is good. It's small inside but they do have inside dining as well as a drive through window. The first time, I went inside and placed a to go order. The staff inside was friendly and welcoming and took my order promptly. This was a very clean and nice place. It is small and it doesn't have the atmosphere that some big chains have, but they did have colorful decor and they tried. I didn't come for the decor though, it's all about the food for me.
